The staff and physicians at Duke Signature Care continue to hope that you are doing well and remaining safe during this uncertain time. As we enter the summer months, it is difficult to believe that over the last 3 months, our health behaviors and practices have changed significantly in the face of a viral infection. With continued changes in our local infection and hospitalization rate, we strongly encourage that everyone continues to pursue basic health behaviors including wearing a mask, practicing appropriate social distancing and frequent handwashing.
For your safety, we will continue to see all in person office visits at our Center for Living office site until further notice. We appreciate your patience as we continue to modify and update our schedules. To reduce the time spent in our waiting room, we are offering electronic check-in before you arrive. For your safety, all staff and patients will be screened for symptoms and temperature before entering the office. We have modified our waiting room seating to enhance social distancing and increased our exam room cleaning process to ensure your safety during your visit.
We continue to offer routine laboratory services at the Center for Living between visits. With changes in staffing and schedules, we ask that you call for an appointment time to reduce the chance of waiting.
During this timeframe, some may still feel wary of venturing out. We fully understand this and for your convenience and safety concerns, we will continue to offer extended telephone visits and video visits for routine care needs. During the last several months, we appreciate your patience and feedback as we have expanded our platform. Approximately 15% of our current visits are handled through tele-visit encounters. Additional upcoming changes are anticipated that will make this a more streamlined and consistent process.
Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We continue to value our relationship in maintaining your health and wellness.
