FAU Study: Tiny Worm Offers Clues to Combat Chemotherapy Neurotoxicity

Using tiny roundworms as a model, researchers found that sildenafil citrate and a new compound, Resveramorph-3, dramatically reduced nerve problems caused by a common chemotherapy drug. By showing how these drugs protect nerve cells, the study highlights promising strategies to prevent debilitating side effects, helping patients complete treatment and regain control of their bodies.
